BreastFeeding Support Group at Reruns 4 Little Ones

Every Wednesday magic happens around 10am……suddenly moms and little babies are everywhere.  Why??? It’s our weekly breastfeeding support group meeting at Reruns 4 Little Ones.

We have new babies, older babies, toddlers and preschools with their moms in tow walking into Reruns thinking how is this going to work….. this is a store but my friend told me you also had an amazing support group for breastfeeding moms.  The mom is usually greeted by a Reruns staff who quickly introduces the store and then escorts them to the group.  The moms gather in a large circle on blanketed carpet.  If you come in after 10am NO BIG DEAL! The group meets from 10-12 and usually continues much later depending on babies needs and building friendships.

Once a couple mamas arrived the group starts.  Robin and Shannon guide introductions and share there stories and why they are passionate about what they do.  Basically introduce yourself, your baby if you are having an issues or concerns about breastfeeding that week.  If not, share something positive about your nursing relationship.

We have two sessions on Wednesdays – 10am – 12pm for moms with little babies and preschools and then the afternoon is dedicated for moms with tiny babies that need more 1-1 time with a CLC.

Our breastfeeding support group is unique for many reasons a) it’s in a store b) we have a IBCLC and CLC leading the group c) we have been recognized by many health organizations for the positive work we do.
